October First Friday in Downtown Sarnia

Autumn is officially upon us with it’s cooler days and nights perfect for spending time in downtown Sarnia and enjoying the monthly First Friday Cultural Walkabout. Live music and visual art abounds for every taste. Along with the listings below, many other shops are open late during First Friday for you to discover the treasures within. Artopia Gallery & Framing – 188 Christina St N – 6:00 – 9:00 p.m – “Put A Bird on It” Fundraiser. Flock into Artopia & purchase an original 8 X 10 canvas along with a donation to Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation. All proceeds for the Birds! The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts – 127 Christina St. S – 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. – “Stories Behind the Glass,” local scenes and rural landscapes watercolours by Mark McLean. Plus “Focus on Abilities” art from seasonal horticultural therapy classes at Smith Homestead in partnership with Ruth’s Place. Music by Doug Hacking at the piano.
