March 1st First Friday at Cheeky Monkey will have a unique level of Noise Pollution going on. Not to worry though. No damage to ears will occur.
It’s the name of a dynamic trio of young local musicians that will be playing from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the downtown record store.
Noise Pollution is made up of Maxx Cabajar (Vocals, lead guitar) Ammon Chaikam (Bass) and Chloe Kendel (drums). Two members are still in high school with the third being a recent graduate.
Noise Pollution formed in the music room at SCITS (GLSS) in 2018 just for something fun to do and to occasionally play at events at school. The trio seemed to click in the way talented people do. They mutually decided they had something good going on and that they wanted to continue as a band. Despite their youthful ages, they are dedicated, enthusiastic musicians who are giving it their all to entertain audiences. Their playlist of cover songs draws heavily from the 1990’s including bands such as Weezer, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Nirvana.
Stop into Cheeky Monkey at 130 Christina Street North during the evening of March 1st First Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. for an earful of talent and find out how good Noise Pollution can really be.
