Bob Ripley, former minister of the largest mainline church in Canada, now author, will be speaking at the Sarnia Library Theatre about his book “ Life Beyond Belief” and journey from Preacher to Atheist.
Bob Ripley is a well-know and highly respected author who has offered to come to Sarnia to discuss his experiences with our group, BAHA, and the general public, so that all can listen to his remarkable story.
He was a well-known syndicated religion columnist for decades with the London Free Press, while serving as a devout senior minister within the Metropolitan United Church. Listen to the ups and downs of his awe-inspiring story, where science, and the understanding of the history behind our species, transformed him. Bob has said that his deconversion from faith was no less radical and joyful than his conversion to faith was. His talk will surely inspire all who attend, religious and non-religious.
Bob is originally form Chatham. He served as minister at Dunlop United Church on Rosedale Avenue from 1987 to 1994, and has been always been known as a man of integrity, with an impeccable reputation for insightful thought. His honest examination of religion and deconversion occurred because of these great qualities and is the reason he is respected by both the religious and non religious alike.
Bob’s talk is FREE to all!
