It was a music packed weekend at Cheeky Monkey during the first weekend of Bayfest 2011. On Friday a couple of members from THE TREWS stopped buy to do a little shopping. The guys were happy to pose with their new musical treasures on their way out. They also signed a some Trews CD’s we had in stock for a few lucky customers.
The Bayfest people tried something new this year to bring some visitors to the downtown area and we hope they plan on doing it again next year. Christina Street was closed between George and Cromwell so that artisans could set up booths on the street. There was also a stage with live music next to the future Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery. Not to be outdone, Cheeky Monkey had it’s own entertainment on the sidewalk in front of our doors. Chin Wag, Portrait of You and Soul Patch all rocked the corner with entertaining sets for those that braved the heat. Thanks to all of the bands we know it was HOT HOT HOT but you all helped make the weekend a success.
