Teenage Time Killers are more than just who’s who in the metal and punk communities, it’s a passion project started by a group of musicians who wanted to record music together at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 for nothing more than the love of music and the intrigue of deviating from their normal projects.
Artists involved include Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio, Blink 182), Neil Fallon (Clutch) and Reed Mullin (Corrosion of Conformity). The end result is 20 raw, energetic songs, each fronted by a different singer from various punk and metal bands. The album was recorded over time, as artists would stop by Studio 606 to collaborate when they were in LA for touring, press or already recording.
This collection of songs, titled “Greatest Hits Volume 1,” is truly a gift, and is a must for anyone who considers themselves a fan of rock.
It’s inspiring to see such a unique group of rock legends who have sold over 50,000,000 albums cumulatively, still creating music because it’s something they love and are passionate about.
