AL WEISS AND FRIENDS
After a sold-out concert last year, Al Weiss and Friends are putting on one more benefit concert performance in aid of the Breast Cancer Society of Canada and the Bluewater Health Foundation (Mammography Department).
Mike Stevens, renowned world-class harmonica player, is featured this year with his friend Jeff Getty on guitars.
Denise Pelley, a nationally treasured diva, is the guest in both the Riverview Jazz Quintet and the Hollywood Band.
Al Weiss (saxophones) and Parker Weiss (trumpets/drums), with vocalist Paul Zubot, will join the Riverview Jazz Quintet featuring Andy Tattersall (guitar), Andrew Lloyd (acoustic and electric basses) and Rob Emanuel (drums).
All will join the Hollywood Band from London, Ontario with Peter Hysen (trombone/arranger), Ron Walker (trumpet), Nevin Campbell (acoustic and electric pianos) and Brian McHugh (drums/percussion).
Rounding out the show is singer/guitarist Polly Harris and Mark O’Reilly on keys and vocals.
There will also be guest performers from the International Symphony Orchestra including Tessa Catton (flute), Caitlin Mason (violin), Randy Dibblee (violin), Jackie Pritchard (violin), Barbara Armstrong (cello), Irene McLellan (viola) and Carole Mitro (flute) Lambton Concert Band.
