From the makers of ‘CINEMADNESS’ a 4D haunt at the Imperial Theatre comes a brand new journey, jumping off the stage and screen, into your brain; ‘CINEMADVENTURE’!
AUDITIONS at St. Paul’s Church on Devine St. by Emma St., March 30 & 31, 6:30pm.

The show will be at the Imperial Theatre, July 21-23.
Much like last year’s CineMadness, CINEMADVENTURE is likened to a Disneyland ride; a fully interactive experience where the audience has colourful characters around them in every direction, along with eye-popping video projection effects, and tons of stuff flying over their heads, dropped into their laps and is encouraged to be flung back at the performers. As well as getting a few of them up onstage and into the story.

In ‘CINEMADVENTURE’ the audience travels to the jungle, sent on a mission to rescue scientist / archaeologist / primatologist, Dr. Georgia Rivers, who was stationed to study the evolution of monkeys but has become sidetracked with the development of a time travel device. That old story. From the thrill-packed jungle, we travel to a pirate ship, an Egyptian tomb, the bottom of the ocean and more.
We will be auditioning a main cast and many many animals, monkeys, pirates, mummies, pirate-monkeys and monkey-mummies, puppeteers, backstage (and everystage) crew, throwers, flingers, watergun-shooters, and more. Everyone is welcome and will be included in the show, with absolutely no one being turned away.

Here is the cast:
DR. GEORGIA RIVERS: A scatterbrained PhD who is ahead of her time. And sometimes behind, over and through her time. (20s-30s)
CADET MALICK: A straight-laced intern of the Classified Organization of World Science sent to lead the audience in a rescue mission. Armed with spoons. (20s-30s)
DONALD: An under-evolved, havoc-wreaking primate who suddenly rises to power. (age, gender not specific. Non-speaking, pro-shrieking role, primate physicality requirements).
COMPUTER: A computer. (age, gender not specific, robot voice)
TAWNY: A fully evolved primate from the future who talks. Sometimes too much. (female, able to play a teen)
CAPTAIN BRONZE: An over-dramatic pirate, tangled up in this mess. (male, convincing pirate age)
MISSION COMMANDER: Head of World Science, appears on the lobby monitor to debrief the audience on their mission. (age, gender doesn’t have to be specific)
TOMBKEEPER: An ancient Egyptian statue just looking for a good time. (age, gender not specific)
MONKEYS: (constant shrieking, bouncing, etc.)
PIRATE MONKEYS, MONKEY MUMMIES, A TIGER, A WOLF, AN ANACONDA, BATS, etc.
All parts of high physical status; running, choreographed fight sequences, vine-swinging, rapid and multiple costume changes, high energy.
