~ 1961 – Howlin’ Wolf arrived in London for his first European tour.
~ 1991 – Freddie Mercury of Queen died of AIDS complications at the age of 45.

~ 1976 – The Band released their final concert at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom, later released as The Last Waltz film and album.
The Band joined by more than a dozen special guests, including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Ronnie Wood, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Van Morrison, Bobby Charles, Dr. John, Paul Butterfield, Emmylou Harris, Ronnie Hawkins, Joni Mitchell, and The Staple Singers.
~ 1997 – The sixth album of 2Pac, “R U Still Down? (Remember Me),” was released posthumously.

November 26
~ 1976 – Sex Pistols release ‘Anarchy in the UK’. It is the band’s debut single and was later featured on their album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols. “Anarchy in the U.K.” is number 56 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and is included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
In the documentary The Filth and the Fury, John Lydon described the composition of the song’s opening lyrics, explaining that the best rhyme he could devise for the first line, “I am an Antichrist”, was the second line, “I am an anarchiste”. (Lydon confirmed that he is not an anarchist in a 2012 interview.

~ 1964 – Willie Nelson made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry.
~ 1989 – Prince’s song “Scandalous,” from the Batman Soundtrack, was released.

November 29
~ 1976 – Jerry Lee Lewis shot his bass player, Norman “Butch” Owens, twice in the chest while trying to hit a soda bottle. Lewis was charged with shooting a firearm within the city limits
~ 1979 – The original four members of KISS performed their last show together until 1996 when they reunited for a makeup tour.
