Hot summer nights are upon us. What better way to spend an evening then to stroll downtown Sarnia and discover all the interesting shops, venues and places to eat during the July 6th First Friday Cultural Walkabout. First Friday showcases the astounding amount of creative talent there is locally both in the visual arts and through music. Below is a sampling of what you can discover in your downtown.

Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery – 147 Lochiel St – 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Spotlight on artists Daisy Fresh and Laura Kreviazuk. The enthralling exhibition ‘Composing Suspense’ opens tonight! 6-9PM. Artists will be present. JNAAG release the publication ‘Elusive Utopia’ including the paintings of Ian McLean. Artist will be present.

Coffee Culture – 130 Lochiel St. – 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. – Live music

Cheeky Monkey – 130 Christina St. N – 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Live heart racing, toe tapping music with Life Signs. Original art show & sale “Chasing The Light” by Bill Walters
