DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL ╝...

Crooked Shadows marks Dashboard Confessional’s first new album in over eight years. Chris Carrabba expounds on the new material stating, “When I wrote ‘We Fight’ I thought it was just about the music scene that I came up in—a place where people who’d never quite fit in anywhere felt they actually belonged. When we began playing the song live on our summer tour, I realized that ‘We Fight’ held a much broader meaning. It’s a song for people who, in spite of their differences, can find common ground in their convictions and foster those into something bigger than themselves. That, to me is something worth fighting for.” Carrabba adds, “Every album is personal, but as this album was coming together I realized, especially as the world’s political climate was rapidly changing, that ‘personal’ did not necessarily mean ‘mine.’ Suddenly, ‘Me’ became ‘We’ and that realization was empowering, comforting and terrifying all at once.” Produced by Chris Carrabba and ...

WALKING PAPERS – WP2

Seattle has always been a place for musical invention and musicians who push the high-water mark just a bit higher. From Jimi Hendrix and Heart to Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Pearl Jam, Fleet Foxes and Death Cab For Cutie, the Northwest has yielded a variety of envelope-pushers and the area has remained a positive artistic caldron. Walking Papers follow that tradition. Composed of established members of the Seattle music community, Walking Papers bring decades of experience, dedication and edge to their craft. The band’s music is instantly familiar, yet profoundly forward-thinking, blending impactful singer/songwriting, ‘90s alternative and classic rock into a transcendent amalgam of breathtaking sounds and melodies.

JIM CUDDY –...

Jim Cuddy’s fourth solo album, Constellation, is scheduled for release on Friday, January 26, 2018 “I’ve always found fascination in the smallest details of human behavior,” says Jim Cuddy of his songwriting. “It’s always been something that I look at and remember, the details of an exchange that I witnessed, or an exchange that I have, and there never seems to be an end to things to write about. Of course, as you get older there are bigger things that happen in your life that you realize you’ll never totally understand. I’m never at a loss of things to write about.” In support of the release of Constellation, Jim Cuddy will head out on a cross-Canada tour beginning February 8, 2018 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Joining Jim on tour are his bandmates Colin Cripps (guitar), Anne Lindsay (fiddle), Steve O’Connor (keyboards), Bazil Donovan (bass) and Joel Anderson (drums). MACHINE HEAD – CATHARSIS

If heavy music stands for anything, it’s freedom. Formed in Oakland, California in 1991, Machine Head have forged a formidable reputation and huge global fan base by never surrendering their artistic liberty or compromising their belief in the power of heaviness. Exploding into the consciousness of metalheads worldwide with their seminal 1994 debut album ‘Burn My Eyes’, the band led by singer/guitarist Robb Flynn have consistently raged against the grain, producing a steady stream of lead-heavy but fiendishly inventive modern metal records that have both defined and redefined the sound of metal in the 21st century.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY – GRIMMEST HITS

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY –...

Black Label Society bandleader Zakk Wylde wields his guitar like a Viking weapon, bashing out thick riffage and squeezing out expressive squeals as if the glory of his Berserker brotherhood depends upon every single note, which of course, it does. Charismatic beast and consummate showman, Wylde puts his massive heart and earnest soul on display with unbridled, unchained, animalistic passion in Black Label Society, whether it’s a crushingly heavy blues-rock barnstormer or a piano-driven ode to a fallen brother. Each Black Label Society album is another opportunity to top the one before it, but like AC/DC or The Rolling Stones, BLS isn’t here to reinvent the wheel. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s a brand we can trust. Grimmest Hits, the band’s tenth full-length studio album and follow-up to Billboard Top 5 entries Catacombs of the Black Vatican (2014) and Order of the Black (2010), Black Label Society submit new ...
